Jewish gift to the Vatican Library and the
Franciscan Custody in Israel
PTWF was instrumental in" paving the way"
for the digitizing of priceless manuscripts from the Vatican
Library and from the Franciscan Custody in Israel. This
wonderful gift for archiving and worldwide education was
made through a Jewish Foundation.
This gift was made through the generosity
of the George S. Blumenthal Foundation. Innovator of state
of the art techniques in digital photography by famed
Israeli photographer Ardon Bar-Hama was made possible
through this wonderful gift of technology towards education.

PTWF facilitated the digitized preservation of over
8000 rare manuscripts inthe archives of the Franciscan Custody
in Jerusalem as well as the digital study of teh Vatican
Library's most prized possession The Codex Vatincanus.
The Jerusalem Medal and the mother
of Pearl Star of David was awarded to PTWF by the Custos
of the Franciscan Custody in the Holy Land for our initiative.
